Nike had a web site for the 2006 Winter Olympics designed and developer by a creative agency, which contracted PLANET ARGON to help work on the project. The goal of the project was to provide Nike’s PR team with promotional material for the press. All of the athletes that Nike sponsors were highlighted with video and photographs of them in their Nike clothing and equipment. The application that was developed supported 30+ languages, integrated Flash with Rails, ran on PostgreSQL, and ran on Lighttpd + FCGI.
