Ruby on Rails was brought into our process in January 2005 to speed up development of our internal input tools.
Six months down the line, we are planning a major schema change and are using Ruby on Rails exclusively to input data into the new structure.
Although there have been some teething problems getting functional Ruby tests to run consistently against Apache FastCGI? in Windows, the benefits and development speed-gains have been dramatic.
We’ve also gained a new perspective from the more flexible object model that Ruby is based on. Not to mention the amount of fun we have writing code now :)
